Mr. Eley has been an intellectual property professional for over 28 years. In 2004, Jim left his partnership at a large Columbus firm to start his own law practice. Jim served our country in the U.S. Army (assigned to the National Security Agency) and obtained his technical and business degrees before entering law school. Mr. Eley is experienced in all aspects of intellectual property.

Ron Koch is the owner of The Eley Law Firm. He has over 25 years of engineering and legal experience. A degreed electrical engineer and licensed Professional Engineer, he has designed electrical, mechanical, and medical devices. As an attorney he has litigated patent, trademark, and copyright matters in state and federal courts and has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications. He is licensed to practice before the USPTO.
